Greater Rochester Area Educator Scholarship and Grant Program

The Warner School is pleased to announce the establishment of a new scholarship and grant program for educators employed full-time by PreK-12 schools in the Greater Rochester Area. Designed for new and experienced practitioners, the scholarships and grants are available to educators who wish to pursue a master’s or non-degree certificate program in teaching, school leadership, or counseling on a part-time basis, while remaining employed as a full-time educator.

The Warner School continues to broaden its impact and collaborative partnerships with area schools and educators. As part of a comprehensive outreach program, we are committed to remaining affordable to those educators with roots in this community who are likely to stay and serve Greater Rochester Area children and schools for many years to come. Through this program we seek to invest in the quality of educators serving our community’s children and to build high-quality learning environments that support children’s development and achievement.

The Greater Rochester Area Educator Scholarship and Grant Program provides new educators with an affordable high-quality way to obtain the required master’s degree and professional certification to continue to teach or counsel students. It also gives experienced educators the opportunity to advance their careers and expand their areas of certification to serve their schools in new ways, whether as an administrative leader or in a new area of specialization where there is a shortage or need.

The Warner School stands behind educators and schools by offering:

Applicant Eligibility

Educators who are employed full-time in a public, private, or parochial school in Monroe, Wayne, Ontario, Livingston, Orleans, Wyoming, and Genesee Counties are eligible.

Educators must remain employed by an eligible school throughout their course of study at Warner to continue scholarship or grant benefits. Students must apply and be accepted to a qualifying master’s or advanced certificate program in the Warner School, have earned a bachelor’s degree, and matriculate at the Warner School to receive the scholarship or grant.

Qualifying Programs

The Greater Rochester Area Educator Scholarships and Grants are available to students matriculated in master’s and certificate programs in teaching, educational leadership, and school counseling at the Warner School. This includes non-degree programs leading to NYS certification in teaching and administration and registered with the NYS Education Department, as well as an advanced certificate program for school counselors seeking permanent certification.
